BAS Protocol Bootcamp (BAS210) is designed to teach technical BAS professionals everything they need to know about BACnet, Lon, and Modbus in the shortest amount of time possible so that they can effectively design, install, and support systems based on these protocols.

• BBMD functionality and scaling BACnet networks
• BACnet/MS/TP settings, design, and troubleshooting
• Lon nodes, network variables, and configuration parameters
• Lon network services, database, and plugins
• Lon FT-10 and EIA-852 design and topology reviews
• Modbus Objects and messaging
• Modbus function codes and error codes
• Modbus TCP and RTU fundamentals
• Modbus registers, coils, and discrete inputs

Audience

This course is designed for BAS technicians, operators, designers, programmers, and service personnel who want to learn how BACnet, Lon, and Modbus work so that they can better support their company and customers.

Pre-requisite knowledge

Awareness of the parts and pieces of BAS. Basic knowledge of IT networking concepts. 2 years of field experience or equivalent.

Successful completion will require:

Viewing all lesson videos in their entirety;

Completing and passing the Final Exam with a score of 70% or better;

Completing the Student Course Exit Evaluation.

Upon successful completion you will:
